Most musicians spend their energy asking people not to take their work. We're asking you to take the best part — under a simple creator license — and build something of your own around it.
Here's how.
1. Pick a moment
Find the piece that fits your video:
- a punchline;
- a chorus;
- an instrumental bed;
- a spoken intro;
- a dramatic turn.
Every song's Creator Kit collects these as ready-to-use clips.
2. Choose the right length
- 10–15s — reactions, memes, punchlines;
- 20–30s — a story, a transformation, a montage;
- instrumental — narration and branded content;
- karaoke version — performance and lip-sync.
3. Use the official sound when you can
When there's an official sound on the platform, use it — your video joins everyone else's on the same sound page, which is where discovery happens. When there isn't one yet, download the Creator Kit clip instead.
4. Make it yours
Allowed, and encouraged: trim, loop, speed it up or down, add captions, lip-sync, choreograph, parody, react, or tell your own original story. The clip is a starting point, not a finished ad.
5. Credit the song
One rule. Paste this into your caption:
🎵 "The Art of the Dip" — Neuro Gramophone
@NeuroGramophone
neurogramophone.com/dip
Every song page has a Copy caption button that does this for you.
6. Send it back
Made something good? Send us the link — selected videos get featured by Neuro Gramophone.
The short version of the rules: free for ordinary organic social posts, including monetized creator accounts. Paid ads, political campaigns, film, television and standalone music redistribution require separate permission.
That's it. Take the hook. Keep our name on it. Make something new.
